Author Bio
David Skernick is a professional photographer and the author of numerous photography books. He spends as much time as possible teaching and traveling the back roads of America. After living in Los Angeles for more than 40 years, David now resides in Warsaw, Virginia, with his wife, Ria, and dog, Dudley. 

A photographer of details most do not see at first, the late Barbara Balik was a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and philanthropist who lives on as a gift to all who knew her. Through her enduring photography and philanthropic legacy, her endless gifts continue for future generations to enjoy.

A collector of wine since the 1970s, Allen Balik became an educator, author, and journalist devoted to wine. A perfect pairing, Allen and his wife, Barbara, were married in 1967. While Barbara captured life through the lens, Allen captures it in a glass. Their passions are forever linked by vineyards and wineries, and through their philanthropic endeavors.
